Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a polymer of high molecular weight, one of the most versatile known varieties of plastic material and used in a wide range of products in the high-tech market.
PTFE is produced from tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) monomer in the polymerization of two different technologies:
• PTFE suspension polymerization
• PTFE fine powder or coagulated dispersion
during the dispersion polymerization.
Most outstanding properties of PTFE:
• High thermal resistance
• High resistance to chemicals and solvents
•Good anti -Stick
• high dielectric properties
• non-toxic .
PTFE plastomer normally considered a high degree of crystallinity, at a temperature of 340 ° C, retains a high viscosity, which requires a particular transformation technique for the production of finished and semi-finished products. PTFE can be used in the temperature range from -200 ° C to 260 ° C. The modified PTFE polymer molecular structure changes significantly improves the properties, such as deformation, dielectric, brightness, heat sealing and ductility. Filled PTFE addition of suitable inorganic fillers and polymer improves properties such as deformation, abrasion, thermal expansion and conductivity.
